What do you need to get a business loan?

If you’re ready for a new business loan, we’ll need some information to get started. Having these documents can help expedite the process. You may need to supply more specific information after meeting with a commercial or business loan officer.

To get started, we will need:

  • Personal and/or business financial statement
  • Tax returns for most recent 3 years
  • Debt listing
  • Rent roll
  • Business license
  • Articles and bylaws
  • Operating agreement
  • Business plan

Jim Clements

After spending time with both Virginia Farm Bureau and Colonial Farm Credit, Jim joined the BSV team in 1984. He is a Senior Vice President of the Bank and also serves as the Vice President of the Crater Development Company, a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to facilitate loan programs that will stimulate the growth and expansion of small businesses. Jim is a proud graduate of North Carolina State University and enjoys following ACC sports.

Chris Everett

As Vice-President/Regional Manager, Chris has 20 years of lending experience, all with BSV. He currently specializes in Agricultural and Commercial lending offering FSA, USDA, SBA, and VSBFA loan programs. Chris also handles all types of personal and commercial construction lending offering both Contractor and Owner/Builder construction loan programs. He grew up in the Old Hickory community of Dinwiddie County and is a member of Concord United Methodist Church and serves on the Finance and Audit Committees.

Bud Yerly

A 1982 graduate of James Madison University, Bud has been serving the banking needs of the Tri-City area since 1994. He as worked in all facets of the industry, allowing him to bring a consultative, relationship-driven approach to his clients. It is his goal to become a trusted advisor for his clients using his experience and knowledge to help his clients grow and prosper. Bud’s specialty is taking care of business owners’ banking needs.
